So far, 2020 has been a year unlike most. Businesses suffered losses, some of which were massive, resulting in the dismissal of swaths of employees and the implementation of measures to prevent further losses. Some asked employees to accept temporary pay cuts, others went the unpaid leave route, and others yet managed to survive with hardly any changes. Zoomd has not been immune to the effects of the pandemic on business and the greater economy, but it has managed to ride out the storm, while still creating growth and opportunities that will become fruitful after the pandemic winds down.
In the weeks leading up to the pandemic, Zoomd solidified its presence in Latin America by opening a new subsidiary in Mexico and onboarding Latin American retail giant Magazine Luiza, digital banking pioneer Banco Original, and gaming company Codere.
In the thick of the pandemic, when many businesses saw their margins significantly thinned, Zoomd onboarded several new advertisers and publishers of notoriety, including Manilla Times, South Africa’s Inquirer, media tech giant IDG, Rollic Games, and Com2Us. The company also integrated Google UAC into its user acquisition (UA) dashboard, which enabled marketers to reach millions of more users in their campaigns and broadened the company’s client acquisition horizons.
